Twelve arrested on organised crime charges after A66 crash kills seven including two officers

Cleveland Police arrested nine men and three women, aged 19 to 61, on suspicion of offences from firearm possession to participating in an organised crime group, following the 22 August A66 crash that killed seven including PCs Matthew Blades and Tom Clough. The Passat, travelling wrong-way, had cloned plates and was linked to a wider Middlesbrough criminal operation.
