Meta Launches Mac App for Meta AI With System-Wide Dictation and Screen Reading

Meta released a Mac app for Meta AI on August 20, 2026, offering system-wide dictation across all macOS applications and the ability to read the current screen and answer contextual questions. Both features are powered by Muse Spark, Meta's multimodal model launched April 8, 2026, which accepts voice, text, and image input. The app extends Meta AI from mobile and web into the desktop operating system.
