Luxon survives second leadership vote in four months, won't release the count

Prime Minister Christopher Luxon survived a confidence vote in his leadership — his second in four months. He confirmed he remained leader but told RNZ he did not know the vote count and would not release it. Defence Minister Chris Penk, who led the failed challenge, lost his portfolios, quit, and will not seek re-election. Luxon said the issue was "resolved."
