Met Police exposes email addresses of 143 Al Fayed victims in group update

The Metropolitan Police apologised after a group email on 11 August 2026 exposed the addresses of 143 Mohamed Al Fayed victims to roughly 150 recipients. The Met blamed "human error" and referred itself to the Information Commissioner. The breach follows a June incident in which a survivor's handwritten account was sent to another victim, deepening concern over the force's handling of the case.
