Rivian Begins R2 Deliveries While Refreshing R1 Flagship Line for 2027

Rivian began public customer deliveries of the R2, a mid-size five-seat electric SUV starting at $44,990, on June 9, 2026. The 2027 R2 Standard offers 275 miles of range at $53,990. Simultaneously, Rivian's R1 line gets incremental 2027 updates: captain's chairs on the R1S, tiered trim naming (Premium, Performance, Quad), and a new Max battery on base models.
