White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt Steps Down

President Trump announced August 12, 2026, that White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt is leaving her post after roughly 19 months. Leavitt, 27 when tapped for the job in November 2024, was the youngest person ever to hold the title. She will continue as an outside adviser. No successor has been named.
