UK Now Requires Digital Travel Permits for Visa-Free Visitors

Starting February 25, 2026, travelers from the US, Europe, Australia, Canada, and dozens of other countries must obtain a £20 digital permit before flying to the UK. The six-month authorization completes a three-year modernization effort, mirroring systems already in place in the US and Australia. Full enforcement began after a phased rollout that started in January 2025.
