Instagram has automatically enrolled users aged 13–17 in Teen Accounts with PG-13 content filtering on by default. Teens under 16 cannot change messaging, tagging, or live streaming restrictions without parental permission. Parents can now set screen-time limits and monitor content categories. It is the platform's broadest structural safety move for young users yet.
