Blue Origin's Engine Failure Points to Fixes for Larger Rockets

Blue Origin traced the NS-23 mishap to a cooling system flaw in its smaller BE-3PM engine. Redesigns to the combustion chamber and operating settings will now inform larger BE-4 engines that power both Blue Origin's New Glenn and ULA's Vulcan launcher. Testing these fixes at smaller scale before scaling up accelerates development of engines both companies need for future missions.
