DOJ Settles Ticketmaster Case Without Breaking Up Live Nation
The Department of Justice settled its antitrust case against Live Nation and Ticketmaster without requiring the companies to separate. The merged company retains control of venues, artist management, and ticketing. The settlement ends litigation dating to the 2010 merger, which the DOJ had argued suppressed competition in primary ticketing for major concert venues. Over two dozen states opposed the agreement.
