Windows 11 Start Menu Gets Customization Controls and Better Layout Options

Microsoft is rolling out manual controls for Windows 11's Start menu, letting users disable or customize the Recommended section in response to user feedback about limited control. The redesign also adjusts the menu's size based on your monitor resolution—addressing complaints that it consumed half the screen on larger displays. Changes are in testing through Insider Preview builds and should arrive in upcoming feature updates.
