Microsoft Adds Manual Controls to Windows 11 Start Menu After User Backlash
Microsoft's Windows chief Pavan Davuluri announced Friday that Windows 11's redesigned Start menu will include explicit controls to customize or disable the Recommended section, directly addressing user complaints about automatic behavior and lack of customization. The overhaul also adapts layout to screen resolution, solving the problem where the menu consumes half the screen on 27-inch displays. Changes are in active development through Insider Preview builds and expected within several feature updates.
