Steam adds guest checkout for game purchases

Valve now lets anyone buy Steam games without an account, extending guest checkout beyond gift cards and hardware. Buyers previously needed a Steam account to purchase titles. Recipients get games via email link or Steam friends gifting, with email gifts restricted to same-country transactions. The change primarily benefits gift buyers who don't use the platform themselves.
