Starting Q2 2026, Tesla replaced third-party consensus estimates with figures it compiles itself, covering both deliveries and earnings, per its Investor Relations pages. The company now serves as both the subject and the compiler of the benchmarks markets use to evaluate it. In this author's view, the move warrants scrutiny across future quarters even if it is not inherently problematic.
