AMD Commits Up to $5 Billion to Anthropic, Plans 2 GW GPU Supply

AMD will invest up to $5 billion in Anthropic and supply up to 2 gigawatts of its MI450 Series GPUs for Anthropic's data centers, the companies said July 22, 2026. A gigawatt measures power capacity; 2 GW is massive scale. Anthropic now adds AMD alongside Nvidia and Amazon. Both figures are ceilings — actual deployment could be lower.
