AMD to Invest Up to $5 Billion in AI Company Anthropic

AMD will invest up to $5 billion in Anthropic and supply it with large numbers of specialized computer chips for powering AI, the companies said July 22, 2026. Anthropic, which already buys chips from Nvidia and Amazon, will now use AMD's too. Think of it as a giant utility deal. Both numbers are maximums — the real total could be smaller.
