House Passes Funding Extension Through December 4; Six Democrats Side With Republicans

The House voted 220-205 on July 21 to extend government funding at current levels through December 4. Six Democrats joined all Republicans. Democratic leaders Hakeem Jeffries, Katherine Clark, and Pete Aguilar opposed it, saying it "fails to block funding for Donald Trump's violent mass deportation machine." The bill now moves to the Senate, where 60 votes are required for passage.
