Sila Lands $300M to Scale Silicon Anode Output Despite 2024 Valuation Cut

Sila raised $300 million led by Atreides Management and Sutter Hill Ventures to expand its Moses Lake, Washington silicon-carbon anode plant from 2 GWh toward tens of GWh — enough for over 100,000 EVs. The round follows a 2024 valuation drop from $3.3 billion to roughly $2 billion. Mercedes and Panasonic are named supply customers. Production began September 2025.
