Godzilla v Kong Star Kaylee Hottle Dies at 18

Kaylee Hottle, the deaf actor who played Jia in Godzilla v Kong (2021) and its 2024 sequel, died in a car crash in Frederick, Maryland, on July 21, 2026, at age 18. Her father Joshua, who is deaf, confirmed her death in an ASL Facebook video. Hottle earned a Saturn Award nomination and was among the most visible deaf performers in mainstream studio films.
