Young Star of Godzilla v Kong Movies Dies in Car Crash

Kaylee Hottle, a deaf actor known for playing Jia in the Godzilla v Kong films (2021 and 2024), died in a car crash in Frederick, Maryland, on July 21, 2026, at age 18. Her father Joshua, also deaf, shared the news in a sign-language video on Facebook. Hottle was one of the most prominent deaf actors in big-budget movies and earned a Saturn Award nomination.
