Google Fixes Google Photos Bug Hiding Edited Images From Android App Pickers

Google has fixed a Google Photos bug that hid edited images from the image pickers, the photo-selection menus, of other Android apps such as messaging and social media apps. Engadget and 9to5Google reported the fix on 29 October 2026, delivered through a Google Photos update. Before the fix, the workaround was saving edited images as copies rather than overwriting originals.
