Alberta to vote on 19 October on future separation referendum

CityNews Calgary reported Albertans will vote on 19 October on whether to hold a future, binding referendum on leaving Canada. Alberta's government said Premier Danielle Smith announced the question on 21 May. Reuters reported the October vote is non-binding, or advisory only. The CBC reported Smith said she will not hold another vote if voters back staying in Canada.
