
U.S. pauses consular help in Brazil before October vote
The United States has suspended consular services — passport, visa and emergency aid for Americans abroad — in Brazil starting Friday ahead of October's presidential election. The embassy told Americans needing help not to visit diplomatic buildings. The State Department says it is coordinating with Brazilian officials over security concerns.
