
U.S. suspends consular services in Brazil ahead of election
The United States suspended consular services in Brazil starting Friday ahead of October's presidential election. Its embassy told Americans needing help not to visit the embassy, consulates or other diplomatic facilities. The State Department said it is working closely with Brazilian counterparts on security concerns.
