U.S. closes help offices for Americans in Brazil before election

The United States stopped its in-person help for Americans in Brazil starting Friday, ahead of October's presidential election. The embassy — America's main office there — told Americans who need help not to come to the embassy, consulates, or other official buildings. America's foreign ministry says it is working with Brazilian officials on safety concerns.
