26 Middle-Income Countries Excluded From Cheaper Lenacapavir Deal

At least 26 middle-income countries including Brazil, Mexico, Argentina and Peru are excluded from Gilead's deal allowing cheaper generic versions of lenacapavir, its twice-yearly HIV prevention shot, MSF says. Those countries saw nearly 23% of new global HIV infections in 2023, MSF says. Gilead has announced a PAHO access pathway for 14 Latin American and Caribbean countries.
