Wiley Asks Trump to Let Him Buy Back Embassy Painting

Kehinde Wiley asked President Donald Trump by certified mail to let him purchase Young Artists After Siamesas 1960. Commissioned in 2013 through Art in Embassies, the State Department program for U.S. diplomatic buildings, it was removed in August from the U.S. Embassy in the Dominican Republic. Wiley said he was prepared to purchase it to bring it home.
