26 Middle-Income Countries Excluded From Generic Lenacapavir Licensing Deal
MSF says at least 26 middle-income countries, including Brazil, Mexico, Argentina and Peru, are excluded from Gilead's generic licensing deal for lenacapavir, its twice-yearly HIV prevention injection. Those excluded countries accounted for close to 23% of new global HIV infections in 2023, according to MSF. Gilead has announced a PAHO access pathway for 14 Latin American and Caribbean countries.
