U.S. Charges Five in Alleged Kremlin Plot Against Dissidents
The U.S. Justice Department has formally charged five people accused of working for the Kremlin — Russia's government — in a plot to attack and kill Russian dissidents and defectors — critics and former insiders — in the U.S. and abroad. It says the group, called the RIS Network, has operated since at least 2024. All five remain at large.
