Burnham would switch pensions to double lock from 2030

Andy Burnham said the state pension triple lock would become a double lock from 2030. Pensions would rise with inflation or 2.5%, whichever is higher, with a later link to earnings. The Spectator reported the plan on 30 September. He said savings would help pay for a national care service promised at the next election.
