Burnham proposes double lock for pensions from 2030 to fund care

Andy Burnham said the state pension triple lock would switch to a double lock of inflation or 2.5% from 2030, with a longer-term adjustment to keep pace with earnings. The Spectator reported the plan on 30 September. He said the saving would help fund a new national care service he has pledged to offer at the next election.
