David Shelley to become Executive Chair of Hachette UK and US

Hachette announced on September 29 that David Shelley will become Executive Chair of Hachette U.K. and Hachette Book Group on January 1, 2027. An Executive Chair sits above day-to-day chief executives and sets strategy. He will oversee English-language publishing in the U.K. and U.S. and advise Hachette Livre on new markets and acquisitions.
