Israel Closes West Bank for Sukkot Holiday

Palestinians with Israeli work permits cannot enter Israel or its West Bank settlements until Saturday for the Jewish holiday of Sukkot. Defense Minister Israel Katz ordered the closure Sept. 28 on the military's advice. Only essential workers can enter West Bank industrial zones. Roadblocks also block access to Al-Aqsa and Ibrahimi mosques.
