Israel Seals West Bank for Week for Sukkot

Israel sealed the occupied West Bank until Saturday for Sukkot, barring Palestinians with work permits from Israel and settlements. Defence Minister Israel Katz ordered the closure September 28 on military recommendation. Only workers deemed essential may enter Israeli industrial zones in the West Bank. Roadblocks also cut Palestinian access to Al-Aqsa and Ibrahimi mosques.
