Takaichi Seeks Meeting With Trump at UN Assembly

Japanese Prime Minister Sanae Takaichi is seeking a meeting with U.S. President Donald Trump during her visit to the U.N. General Assembly, Reuters reported Sept. 18. No agenda was announced. Talks would build on current U.S.-Japan agreements on rice, cars and critical minerals, amid U.S. calls for allies to contribute more.
