DJI Enters Industrial Drone Delivery Market with FlyCart 30

DJI announced the FlyCart 30 on January 10, a heavy-duty drone designed to carry cargo for businesses rather than everyday consumers. The drone can transport 30–40 kilograms (66–88 pounds) of cargo and travel up to 28 kilometers on a single battery. It offers two ways to deliver goods: dropping items directly or lowering them carefully with a winch system. The FlyCart 30 includes built-in safety features like backup systems, precise GPS positioning (RTK), and the ability for two operators to control it simultaneously. These capabilities make it useful for industries like mining, construction, and emergency services. With this launch, DJI is competing against specialized cargo drone makers like Wingcopter and Zipline that already dominate this market.
