Both big parties below 30 percent, but government holds
Labour and National both sit under 30 percent in the latest Taxpayers' Union-Curia poll — Labour at 25.9, National at 29. Yet the governing bloc still holds 64 seats to the opposition's 56. The opposition vote is split three ways: Labour, the Greens (up to 13.9 percent), and Opportunity, which fell below the 5 percent MMP threshold at 4.5.
