Swans captain Mills tears ACL, 2027 season in doubt

Scans have confirmed Sydney Swans captain Callum Mills, 29, tore the ACL in his right knee during Sydney's 53-point qualifying final win over Brisbane. Mills's knee gave way late in the first quarter attempting to corral Will Ashcroft near the boundary. He is ruled out of the finals and could miss the entire 2027 season. Coach Dean Cox: "We were expecting the worst."
