Instagram to demote unlabeled AI-generated profiles in recommendations

Instagram will restrict accounts that don't self-label as "AI-generated profile." Non-compliant posts get pulled from Reels and Explore recommendations but stay visible to existing followers. Falsely flagged accounts can appeal. The policy targets synthetic personas, not creators using AI-assisted workflows.
