Lib Dems Press PM Burnham for Cross-Party Climate Talks as 'Super El Niño' Nears

Lib Dem leader Ed Davey and energy spokesperson Pippa Heylings wrote to PM Andy Burnham two weeks ago, urging cross-party talks on UK extreme weather preparedness. They cited an approaching "super El Niño" — a powerful ocean-atmosphere warming cycle expected to worsen flooding and storms this autumn and winter. No response has come. Labour MP Clive Lewis backed the call.
