Comedy duo Cantrill and Gledhill make Edinburgh Comedy Award history

Chris Cantrill won the 2026 Edinburgh Comedy Award — often called the "Oscar of live comedy" — for "Rewilding," his show about relocating to rural Northumberland. His comedy partner Amy Gledhill took the same prize two years earlier. In the award's 45-year history, no double act has ever had both members win individually. The win came on Cantrill's fourth nomination.
