Comedy partners Cantrill and Gledhill each win Edinburgh Comedy Award in consecutive years — a first in the prize's 45-year history

Chris Cantrill won the 2026 Edinburgh Comedy Award for "Rewilding," his show about relocating to rural Northumberland. His comedy partner Amy Gledhill won the same prize two years earlier — the first time members of the same double act have each won the award, often called the "Oscar of live comedy," in its 45-year history. The win came on Cantrill's fourth nomination.
