Google auto-expands AI Overviews, pushing blue links below the fold

Google now auto-expands AI Overviews for some searches, no longer requiring a click. The AI summary and an "Ask anything" box push traditional blue links below the fold. Spokesperson Jennifer Kutz said overviews "may dynamically expand" where useful. Criteria are undisclosed and behavior is inconsistent across searches and browsers. Google cancels expansion if the user has already scrolled.
