Greenland Can't Settle Genocide Question as Expert Panel Splits Over Danish Forced Contraception

Greenland's government won't decide whether Denmark's forced contraception of Inuit women amounted to genocide, after a four-member expert panel produced rival reports. Between 1966 and 1970, Danish doctors fitted 4,500 women and girls — some as young as 13 — with IUDs without consent. Denmark has apologised and passed compensation. A reconciliation commission will now address the dispute.
