Australians Among 1,400 Missing After Himalayan Flash Floods

An August 26 avalanche-triggered flash flood in Nepal's Rasuwa District has killed nearly 400 people. Around 1,400 remain missing, including at least 39 Australians on Mount Kailash pilgrimages. Himalayan Glacier Adventures, which led 15 of the Australians, has lost all contact with its group; the tour company's founder flew over the area and expressed little hope survivors remain.
