
Sixth B.C. Conservative MLA leaves caucus, weakening Official Opposition
B.C. Conservative MLA Bruce Banman quit caucus Aug. 27 to sit as an Independent — the sixth departure in two weeks. Leader Kerry-Lynne Findlay called the MLAs "selfish" and reassigned critic roles after losing several portfolio holders. The exodus complicates confidence-vote math and committee assignments in the 43rd Parliament.
