Orthodox Priest and Metal Musician Addresses Homosexuality but Leaves 2024 Posts Standing

Father Dionysios Tabakis, a Greek Orthodox priest and drone metal musician whose debut "Paradise Metal" earned a 7.6 on Pitchfork, issued an August 27, 2026 statement expressing compassion for gay people while calling homosexuality a sin: "with freedom we sin, and with freedom we repent." He did not retract 2024 blogposts calling gay people "Sodomites" and same-sex marriage a "sodomitic monstrosity."
