
Priest Who Also Makes Heavy Metal Music Speaks on Homosexuality but Won't Take Back Past Writings
Father Dionysios Tabakis is both a Greek Orthodox priest and a heavy metal musician whose first album scored 7.6 on the review site Pitchfork. On August 27, 2026, he said he has compassion for gay people but still called homosexuality a sin. He did not take back 2024 blog posts where he called gay people "Sodomites" and same-sex marriage a "sodomitic monstrosity."
