Samsung's Galaxy S26 FE Costs $50 More With Barely Changed Hardware

Samsung launched the Galaxy S26 FE on August 27 at $699, $50 above the S25 FE. The display, camera, battery, and RAM are unchanged. The only hardware change is a die shrink from a 4nm to a 3nm Exynos chip. Engadget attributes the increase to that spec bump and the ongoing RAM supply crisis. Worth flagging: the FE line's value proposition looks increasingly thin.
