Samsung launched the Galaxy S26 FE on August 27 at $699, up $50 from last year's model. The screen, camera, battery, and memory are unchanged. The only upgrade is a slightly more efficient processor chip. Engadget blames the price hike on that chip change and a memory-chip shortage. Worth flagging: the FE line's value for money looks increasingly thin.
